It Starts
Anna started having regular contractions around 5:34 pm and her water water broke 20 minutes later (right after the pizza we had put in was finished.) Out the door we went, and we arrived at the ER at Sacred Heart around 6:30, and Anna is now hooked up to the monitor, and we are settling in for tonight's big event. Anna is dilated to a good 4 centimeters and fully effaced.

I swear on all that is holy, if you don't continually update this thing (even if Anna has you in a death grip in one hand, you type with the other) one day you will come to regret keeping us in the dark. And by regret I mean I'll make you babysit all my kids for an entire weekend. All 5.
Ooooooo, I thought you'd be more dilated. Sitting in bed isn't very exciting. Could you get things moving a little ;)
P.S. Blog updates are peachy keen but you still need to call. Thhhhpppptttt
Hi Anna and Matt! We are super excited for you two! I wish I would have caught you earlier this week while the little one was still in you... I have a feeling it is going to quickly be much more difficult to reach you :) I think babies have a way of doing that, eh? Funny: I came home from the gym and told Tom, "Anna is in the hospital!" to which his jaw dropped and he looked like he had seen a ghost... then I realized he thought I meant you were there because you were hurt/sick and I said "No! She is having the baby!" The color returned to his face and I heard his heart start beating again. I should watch how I saw things :) Stay strong, Anna! You're going to do great! Ok, nevermind what I said about keeping us updated every second. Just do whatever she wants and we'll sit tight. Dying, but we'll sit tight, praying and excited.
