A Pirate Walks Into A Bar...

Well, last weekend was a bit of a disappointment as I spend Saturday night with Miro (yes, my cat). As if that isn't pathetic enough, she topped off my fabulous weekend by giving me poison oak. It took until Monday for me to actually be social and I had a good day. Hung out with the fam who had a bunch of friends over and it was a nice evening. I missed the semi-illegal fireworks show in my back yard to go see big ones on the beach in Elk River. While Curt and Adam were off wondering around two totally cool 15-year-olds spotted Kristen and I and, seriously, they so wanted us. For some reason they left as soon as two larger men sat down on our blanket with us. I have to admit, I was flattered but they were just about 5 years too late...sorry boys.

Last night I met up with Holly and Aaron who drove to the cities from their respective ends of the earth. It was so nice to see them! We went to Joe's Crab Shack where they always give us something to talk about. This time our waitER was quite into Aaron. They shared pirate jokes and then he told us all that he loved us. Oh, and I got a lighty cup. After dinner we ended up in Como Park playing capture the flag on a fairway in the dark. It was a good night and well worth it until I had to wake up this morning and go to work.
