My New Boyfriend

So, the highlight of my Thanksgiving break is pretty obvious:

Uh huh, that's Dave Matthews. Katie got us amazing tickets and backstage passes because her daddy knows the band's tour manager, Bill. Actually, it's more bragging power than anything, I only knew a couple of songs at the concert (although it was A LOT of fun) and I still think he's sort of a weirdo. The Moonlight Dancers were the REAL headliners at the Target Center last Saturday, here's a couple pictures of them...

Thanksgiving day was nice...crazy as usual. Every year we have new blessings added to our family. This year for the first time in my life my parents are sending out Christmas cards. Here is the picture that is going in them, it's all of my nieces and nephews minus the two oldest and two in the oven :)

I have never had a break that felt like it lasted so long! It was wonderful to be with family and friends and even more wonderful is that I'll be home again in three weeks! I have NO finals this semester...aw, the perks of being an art major!

Well, that's all for now. Oh, and can you tell I also got a new camera?

Snow!

I love the feeling of shaved legs in tight jeans on a cold day :)

Guys and Dolls

I made it home for the first time for more than 24 hours over Halloween! It was great to hang out with all the kids and only got me looking forward to Thanksgiving break even more! We had a party for Lexi at my brother Nick's house and it was crazy as usual!

Here is me with my newest niece, Lucia. She was such a little squirt in this big puffy butterfly!

This past weekend I spent in Duluth. I wish I had taken pictures of the beautiful day we had on Saturday! Curt and I drove along "seven bridges road" and stopped at each of the seven bridges that went over rambling creeks. I beat him at a mean game of Pooh Sticks but he kept his spirits high and went on a long walk with me anyway. We parked at the last bridge and walked down to where the creeks meet and go into Lake Superior. It was a commemorative event as we got to actually go for a holding hands walk! Eee! No crutches or anything! It was so enchanting to see old guys fishing along the creek and a daddy picking out rocks with his kids. A much needed break for me from school and much needed time spent with my Curty.

In other news my sister willed her three crazy/beautiful babies to me if they happen to "go down" on their trip to Mexico. It's the least she could do, after all it's not like she ever gives me anything anyway. Why me, you ask? They free-spirited, independent, 20-year-old college student? Because our other sister might go mad raising eight children. She says she has a decent life insurance plan but that still doesn't make up for the fact that she cannot will me a husband too. I told Curt about my recent bequeathal but he just gave me a funny look and went back to watching football.

Well, it's time for me to go to bread, I mean bed :)
God bless.

So, I guess I was a lot busier than I intended the past month or so, but life is good. Volleyball season is over which is a bit of a relief but I must say I feel very accomplished! I did, however, manage to sprain my ankle during the very last 10 minutes of my very last practice. It was not fun for me or anyone around me because I was about the biggest baby I had ever seen. It is my left ankle (Curt broke his right) and although I thought it a funny image to see us going for a ghetto limp walk down by the lake, I think he is annoyed by my complaining of one day of crutches as opposed to a BROKEN ankle. I think I'll live.

My darling Moonlights came over tonight and for the first time since adolescence, I played doctor for a good half an hour. It was a pitiful scene, truly, but I came out of it six months pregnant with a peg leg. Nevermind, you don't want to know.

The annual fall girls weekend was last weekend and we had such a relaxing weekend! Thank God for beautiful weather and sisters and friends! Oh, and babysitters too :)
